CTOnews.com, December 6 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- Pixelmator Pro 3.2 "Lumi è re" is launched on Mac App Store today, and the latest update to this popular image editing application brings the ability to edit videos, as well as other noteworthy features.

The Pixelmator Pro 3.2 app allows users to quickly edit videos, such as trimming, cropping, and color adjustment, and to combine them with text, images, and shapes, apply masks, and so on, without leaving Pixelmator Pro.

To make editing easier, the interface now includes video controls on the canvas, where users can play, mute, refresh, and set poster frames for videos in multiple video combinations.

As part of the support for video editing, the update also supports new video and animation image formats, including MP4 and QuickTime Movie, as well as the ability to open and export GIF and PNG animations. Video supports export at variable quality, adjustable frame rate, and uses a range of compression types, including Apple's ProRes.

In addition, the update brings a new class of 4K movie templates and adds movie-style social media templates specifically for creating mobile designs.

Users can personalize the template by changing the placeholder video, choosing from alternative elements and colors created separately for each template, and so on. Alternatively, you can combine existing still image templates in Pixelmator Pro with your own videos to create animated posts and other designs on social media.

CTOnews.com learned that other improvements in Pixelmator Pro 3.2 include support for video opening and editing Live Photos, as well as significant improvements to Motion file format support, including the ability to export Motion files with video layers.

Pixelmator Pro 3.2 Lumi è re is available from Mac App Store and is free to update for existing users, which costs $19.99 for new users, which is 50% cheaper than the usual price of $39.99.
