The number of players of "Microsoft Flight Simulation" has exceeded 1000.
CTOnews.com, December 8 (Xinhua)-- Microsoft Flight Simulation has reached a new milestone with more than 10 million players.
CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft Flight Simulation launched its PC version in August 2020 and had more than 1 million players in just two weeks. Just over two years later, the number of players has exceeded 1000 million.
This number of players includes players in Microsoft Store, Steam, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox Cloud Games, and Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. However, Microsoft did not provide details on the number of players on each platform in today's announcement.
Microsoft also shared other achievements since the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulation, such as a total of 500 million flights and a total of 40 billion miles. This is equivalent to 10 million trips around the earth, or 200 round trips from the earth to the sun.
The 1.0 version of Microsoft Flight Simulation was first released in 1982, and to celebrate its 40th birthday, Microsoft released a 40th anniversary update last month, bringing helicopters and gliders into the game for the first time.
