CTOnews.com December 8, Samsung expects shipments of QD-OLED TVs to break through the 1 million mark next year. This means that Samsung's shipments will almost triple in 2023, and market watchers predict that Samsung will continue to increase shipments of QD-OLED TVs in 2023 and 2024.

Samsung shipped about 450000 QD-OLED TVs in 2022, and The Elec quoted UBI Research analysts predicting that Samsung's QD-OLED shipments would increase to 1.3 million in 2023. Samsung has shown that it has increased its QD-OLED production yield to 90 per cent in just one year after it began mass production, according to sources. Samsung Electronics, in turn, raised its 2023 forecast to 1.3 million shipments from 1 million.

Market watchers believe that Samsung will continue to increase shipments of QD-OLED TVs in 2024. The company could exceed the 2 million mark after 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that with the combination of Neo QLED and QD-OLED, Samsung TVs could ship about 3.8 million TVs in 2023. This means that QD-OLED will narrow the gap with Neo QLED TV. Samsung expects to ship about 2.5 million Neo QLED TVs in 2023.

Not long ago, the same research company said Samsung showed it was betting on QD-OLED technology to secure orders from other companies. Samsung's display division has increased production of QD-OLED panels and hopes to secure orders from a number of other device makers, including Apple.
