December 9, according to foreign media reports, as more and more electric vehicles are on the road, traditional automakers, like Tesla, finally realize the importance of electric vehicle infrastructure.

The launch of many of its brands of electric cars follows GM's "Dealer Community charging Program" announced a year ago. Currently, the first charging stations have been installed in Wisconsin and Michigan.

GM said it would install up to 40, 000 Level Class 2 charging stations in the US and Canada through the program, almost double the current number of public Level Class 2 charging stations.

These charging stations will be available to all electric car drivers, not just GM's electric car customers. In addition, GM is particularly committed to improving charging coverage in underserved rural and urban areas.

The company also said the program was initially opened to Chevrolet dealers earlier this year and will be extended to Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealerships in January 2023.

So far, nearly 1000 GM dealers have signed up for the program, accounting for about 1/4 of the total GM dealerships in North America.
