Broadcom's new fourth-quarter earnings report for fiscal year 2022, which ended Oct.30, saw revenue of $8.93 billion, up $1.523 billion from $7.407 billion in the same period last fiscal year, or 21% year-on-year.

According to the financial report, Broadcom's semiconductor solutions business contributed $7.092 billion in revenue this quarter, up from $5.634 billion in the same period last fiscal year, up 26% year-on-year; infrastructure software revenue was $1.838 billion, up from $1.773 billion in the same period last fiscal year, up 4% year-on-year.

In terms of net profit, the financial report showed $3.359 billion under GAAP, compared with $1.989 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year, an increase of $1.37 billion, or 68.9% year-on-year;$4.544 billion under non-GAAP, an increase of $1.043 billion, or 29.8% year-on-year, from $3.501 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Under GAAP, Broadcom's net profit for fiscal year 2022 was US$11.495 billion, up US$4.759 billion from US$6.736 billion in the previous fiscal year; under non-GAAP, it was US$16.526 billion, up significantly from US$12.578 billion in the previous fiscal year.

For the fiscal first quarter of fiscal 2023, which ends Jan. 29, Broadcom expects revenue to remain close to $8.9 billion, comparable to the fourth quarter.
