When we turn our attention to another field with many brands and complicated interfaces-electric bicycles, there is still no unified standard at present.

In fact, as early as April 4, 2019, the mandatory national standard "Safety Technical requirements for Electric Bicycle Chargers" began to be drafted. In June 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology openly solicited opinions on the "Safety Technical requirements for Electric Bicycle Chargers" and other national standards (approved draft), and the new national standard specifications for electric bicycle chargers and plugs were officially exposed.

As can be seen from the diagram given in the document, the new GB abandoned the old direct plug-in charging interface, and classified the interfaces of lead-acid battery and lithium-ion battery to avoid misuse.

In addition, the new power interface uses the communication protocol handshake, if the voltage does not match will not be able to charge.
