Will Skoda of Volkswagen withdraw from China? The official response said that the strategy had not been adjusted and the team was operating normally.

On December 13, there were media reports that the Skoda brand of Volkswagen Group was considering withdrawing from the Chinese market. However, according to the latest response from Skoda China, the company has not adjusted its strategy, all SAIC Skoda products in China are selling normally, and the team is operating normally.

Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda brand of Volkswagen Group, said in an interview with foreign media that Skoda is considering withdrawing from the Chinese market and will make a final decision in 2023.

In response, Skoda China responded that as part of the company's normal business operations, Skoda continues to evaluate its position in the international market and adjust its strategy to adapt to the development of the local market, including the Chinese market. To this end, the company has maintained a continuous and constructive dialogue and exchange with our joint venture partner SAIC-Volkswagen in China to examine how to achieve the best positioning of Skoda brand in the Chinese market in the context of China's transition to fully networked electric travel. At present, the company has not made any decision on the need to adjust its strategy.

Data show that SAIC Volkswagen Skoda sold a total of 40323 vehicles in the first 11 months of this year, of which only 2301 were sold in November.

"it is exposed that Skoda is considering giving up producing cars in China. It has become popular with" OEM Volkswagen ", and its next stop is India."
