According to the website of the State-owned assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), the Butterfly Island Base Station, the first integrated "photohydrogen storage" communication base station with zero emission and pollution-free power supply, was completed and opened in Fangcheng Port, Guangxi on December 9, according to CTOnews.com.

▲ source: according to the website of SASAC, the Butterfly Island Base Station is the first integrated photohydrogen storage power solution in the country, saving more than 8000 kilowatt-hours of electricity and 1.5 tons of standard coal every year.

CTOnews.com learned that the photohydrogen storage power solution consists of three modules: solar photovoltaic power generation system, methanol reforming hydrogen production fuel cell and wing ampere safety lithium energy storage system.

According to reports, the base station is one of the four base stations built in the 2021 telecom universal service pilot (island) project, and it is a Huimin communication project implemented to solve the sea-related management of the island and its surroundings and the life of fishermen. The completion of the project has effectively improved the signal coverage capacity of the coast, and the 4G signal can be extended to the sea surface for up to five to six kilometers.
