CTOnews.com news on December 14, Microsoft Win11 has opened a new chapter as it enters 2023. Citing foreign technology media NeoWin, Microsoft Win11 system has entered the "Zinc" (zinc) development cycle since the Build 25247 version, while "Copper" (copper), which was launched in February this year, has expired in November, and the whole development cycle is about 9 months.

CTOnews.com learned that, in fact, there were already relevant clues. After Microsoft released the service pipeline update in early November, there was a considerable standstill, and the development channel version was not released for a long time (nearly a month). Normally, Microsoft will launch a preview version within a week.

Windows Server build 25246 and Windows 11 build 25247, which marks the official beginning of the Zinc development cycle.

In terms of the release cycle, Microsoft has moved from the annual Windows 11 feature update cycle to a new three-month approach, which is internally called "moments". The upcoming internal test ID for Moment 3 and Moment 4 has been exposed and will be launched next year.
