In order to allow you to download more Steam games, Tesla installed a 1TB solid state drive on his official store. The 1TB solid state drive, which will go on sale in February 2023, costs $350 (about 2436 yuan) and can be used to store data from games and vehicle cameras. Pictures released by Tesla's official store show the 1TB solid state drive being placed in a glove box.

Tesla pointed out that this solid-state drive is much better than the common solid-state drives on the market, has a longer life, optimizes read / write speed for games and supports Steam games. Tesla also stressed that the product is very durable because it is designed to withstand extreme compartment temperature, vehicle shock and vibration.

CTOnews.com learned that Tesla's 1TB solid state drive includes the hard drive itself and a USB-A to USB-C cable. Although only the new Model S and Model X support Steam, this 1TB solid-state drive is compatible with all Tesla cars.

On the official tweet, Tesla stressed that the integration of Steam will enable Tesla users to comfortably play thousands of high-profile games from their vehicles. Musk also pointed out on Twitter that the Steam carried by Tesla supports not only the handle, but also the use of keyboard and mouse.

It is worth mentioning that the Steam on Tesla is not the Windows version, but the same Linux version as Steam Deck. In view of this, Tesla's built-in Steam can only play games that have been verified by Steam Deck.
