PocketBook Viva is reported to be available on Amazon and Newegg at the end of March or early April next year for about $599 (about 4169 yuan). The PocketBook Viva features an 8-inch E Ink Gallery 3 panel, IPX8 waterproof grade, built-in speakers and Bluetooth audio.

CTOnews.com learned that E-ink has recently announced that full-color e-paper technology E Ink Gallery 3 has entered mass production, and a number of brand customers from all over the world, including Bigme I, BOOX aragonite, iFlyTek iFLYTEK, iReader Palm, PocketBook, Readmoo ink-reading e-books, and AOC will launch E Ink Gallery 3 full-color e-paper products on the market from 2023.

In terms of parameters, E Ink Gallery 3 is developed using E Ink ACeP (Advanced Color ePaper) full-color electronic paper display technology. Based on the technical framework of full-color electronic paper, the full-color gamut color display effect is realized with cyan, magenta, yellow and white electronic inks.

Officials say the E Ink Gallery 3 has increased the page change speed of black and white text to 350ms and the update speed of color display to 500ms in fast color display mode, 750 to 1000 milliseconds in standard mode, and 1500 milliseconds in the best color display mode. At the same time, it supports digital pen writing function, in addition to black and white, it can also present several main colors, and the minimum pen writing delay is only about 30 milliseconds.
