CTOnews.com, December 14 (Xinhua)-- Marvel's original superhero blockbuster Iron Man, Disney's Little Mermaid and the classic romantic comedy when Harry meets Sally have been selected by the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress, according to Variety.

It is reported that every year the librarian of the Library of Congress lists 25 films with a history of at least 10 years and registers them as films of "cultural, historical or aesthetic" significance.

Kevin Figg, president of Marvel Pictures, Tuyuan Marvel's official website, said he was happy to be shortlisted by director Jon Favreau's Iron Man, which made the Marvel movie universe shine. "Iron Man is Marvel's first independent film," Kevin Figg said in a statement. "this is our first film with all the creative control and supervision, and it determines our success or failure."
