Ctrip released Q3 results in 2022: net revenue of 6.9 billion yuan, an increase of 29% over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com December 15 news, Ctrip Group today announced unaudited financial results for the third quarter as of September 30, 2022. According to the financial report, in the third quarter of 2022, the net operating income of Ctrip Group was 6.9 billion yuan, an increase of 29 percent over the same period last year, with a net profit of 245 million yuan, while the adjusted EBITDA was 1.4 billion yuan, an increase of 164 percent over the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the main business of Ctrip Group accelerated its recovery. Of this total, accommodation booking revenue was 2.9 billion yuan, up 32% from the same period last year; traffic ticketing revenue was 2.6 billion yuan, up 44% from the same period last year; tourism and vacation business income was 387 million yuan, relatively stable over the same period last year; and business and travel management revenue was 370 million yuan, up 9% from the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that Ctrip said that since the beginning of this year, the shortening of the booking cycle and the accelerated growth of local bookings have become the main features of the domestic hotel reservation market. In the third quarter of this year, domestic hotel bookings of Ctrip Group increased by about 60% compared with the same period in 2019. At the same time, Ctrip domestic long-distance hotel bookings increased by more than 130% month-on-month.

In addition, the overall domestic hotel bookings of Ctrip Group returned to the 2019 level in the third quarter, and domestic hotel booking revenue increased by 25% compared with the same period last year.

In terms of international business, the overall air ticket bookings of Ctrip International platform increased by more than 100% in the third quarter compared with the same period last year, and the number of air ticket bookings in the Asia-Pacific region increased by more than 400% compared with 2021. In the third quarter of this year, overseas hotel bookings on the international platform increased by 45% compared with the same period in 2019, surpassing the 2019 level for three consecutive quarters.
