CTOnews.com, December 15 (Xinhua) Microsoft seems ready to launch a redesigned OneDrive for Windows app to the public. After the earlier version was stolen in July this year, Microsoft began to release the new version to all users today.

CTOnews.com learned that the redesigned OneDrive app inherits the Win11-like user interface and navigation design, with four vertical tabs for managing synchronization and backup, account and notification settings. The fourth tab allows you to check the current version of the application and register for OneDrive Insider preview updates.

Another noteworthy change is the storage indicator in the lower left corner, which allows you to check your storage limits without having to jump to a specific tab. Finally, the application now supports dark and light modes, which have never been provided in the traditional version.

Apart from the user interface and redesigned navigation, the new OneDrive app does not introduce any new features. You can still manage your backups, customize download rates, and enable or disable on-demand downloads.
