Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: the output of crystalline silicon cells in the national photovoltaic industry exceeds that of 230GW from January to October.

From January to October 2022, China's photovoltaic industry operates well, the technical level continues to improve, and the output of each link reaches a new high. According to industry standard announcement enterprise information and industry association calculation, the national crystal silicon battery output exceeds 230GW (GW).

Polysilicon link, the national output from January to October is about 610,000 tons, an increase of more than 49.3% year-on-year. In the silicon wafer link, the national output from January to October increased by 40.7% year-on-year.

In the battery link, from January to October, the national crystalline silicon battery export was about 19GW , an increase of 117.4% year-on-year. In the component link, from January to October, the export of crystalline silicon components nationwide was about 132GW , up 61% year-on-year.

CTOnews.com learned that crystalline silicon cells generally refer to crystalline silicon solar cells. The production of solar cells is mainly based on semiconductor materials, and its working principle is to use photoelectric materials to absorb light energy after photoelectron conversion reaction, according to the different materials used.
