Aviation industry: self-developed "Kunlong" AG600M (fire-fighting type) aircraft won 5 new orders

CTOnews.com, December 16, according to the release of the aviation industry, recently, the aviation industry flew to South China and Jiangsu Xiangyue General Aviation Co., Ltd. formally signed the purchase contract of five "Kunlong" AG600M (fire-fighting type) aircraft, speeding up the marketization process of China's self-developed large amphibious aircraft.

AG600M-1005, 1006 and 1007 aircraft completed the final assembly in June, August and November this year, AG600M-1003, 1005 and 1006 aircraft completed their maiden flight in May, September and December this year, and AG600M completed the iron bird test, static test and on-board ground test.

In early December this year, the aviation industry independently developed a large-scale fire fighting / water rescue amphibious aircraft "Kunlong" AG600M (1006) successfully made its maiden flight in Zhuhai, Guangdong. This is the third AG600M aircraft that has completed its first flight test since 2022. After the successful verification of the 12-ton water delivery function, it is another key step towards being put into practical use in June 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that the project plans to have the ability to carry out fire-fighting tasks in 2023, obtain a fire-fighting airworthiness certificate in 2024, obtain a rescue airworthiness certificate in 2025, and deliver it to customers in small batches during the 14th five-year Plan period.
