According to reports, CAS-10 is an 8U cube satellite with a volume of about 228x455x100mm and a weight of about 12 kilograms.

CAS-10 also carries a camera, and the photos taken are stored in flash memory on the satellite. Based on the DTMF remote control system, radio amateurs around the world can send DTMF commands to download camera photos.

CTOnews.com learned that CAS-10 is a successor to CAS-9, also known as CAS-10 or XW-4. It carries a complete set of V / U linear transponder, UHF band CW telemetry beacon and AX.25 4.8k / 9.6kbps GMSK telemetry, space camera.

According to reports, CAS-10 carries a linear transponder of VHF uplink and UHF downlink for SSB communication, and its bandwidth is 30kHz. The transponder will operate throughout the life cycle of the satellite and can be used by radio amateurs around the world for two-way amateur radio relay communications.

In addition, CAS-10 has the function of CW beacon, which uses Morse code to send satellite telemetry data. The uplink frequency of V / U linear transponder is 145.870MHz, the downlink frequency is 435.180MHz, the CW telemetry beacon frequency is 435.575MHz, the GMSK telemetry frequency is 435.725 MHz.
