The BUG:AirPods charging box appears in Apple iOS 16.2. Even if the battery is fully charged, the battery on the iPhone still shows 0%.
CTOnews.com December 17, Apple released iOS 16..2 update on December 13, introducing iCloud end-to-end encryption features such as advanced data protection, Apple Music singing, boundless apps, and so on. However, the user encountered a BUG:AirPods after updating to iOS 16.2, showing that the charge box was 0% even when it was fully charged.
CTOnews.com learned that many AirPods users reported such a problem on Reddit, Twitter and Apple support forums. Users have tried several conventional troubleshooting methods, but most of them have not been successful. Although this is not a serious error that affects actual use, it is impossible for regular AirPods users to know how much power is left in the AirPods charging box through iPhone.
According to user feedback, this problem is not limited to AirPods and iPhone models and may be encountered after upgrading to the iOS 16.2 system. When the user uses a single AirPods headset and the other one is left in the AirPods charging box, iOS 16.2 also displays a battery charge of 0%.
It is not clear exactly how many Apple users have been affected. Apple has not admitted on the support page that the iOS 16.2 has a problem with the AirPods charging box incorrectly displaying 0% of the battery.
