Tesla opened 100 super charging stations in Norway, open to all brands of electric vehicles.

According to CTOnews.com on December 17, Tesla opened its 100th supercharging station in Norway. The new station is located next to Ullevaal Stadium, home of the Norwegian national football team in Oslo.

Touyuan Pexels Norway has a relatively small population of 5.425 million, ranking 118 in the world and 61st in terms of land area, but Norway is one of the most aggressive countries in Europe in terms of transition to new energy, with electric car sales exaggerated relative to its land area and population.

In September this year, Norway's electric vehicle penetration rate rose to 25%, which means that at least 1/4 of new cars are electric vehicles, so various electric vehicles and manufacturers are building blocks for the country's new energy facilities. At present, Norway has more than 1500 supercharging stations.

Among the newly registered electric cars in the country, Tesla is the best. By 2022, Tesla sold 18425 vehicles, accounting for 15.5 per cent of annual electric vehicle sales, followed by 14965 and 12.5 per cent of Volkswagen, followed by BMW (8.3 per cent), Audi (7.1 per cent) and Hyundai (6.3 per cent).

Tesla Model Y is the best-selling model on the Norwegian market, with sales reaching 15289 so far this year, so Tesla has extended his EV supercharging pilot program to Norway, allowing owners of other brands of electric vehicles to use the company's super chargers.

CTOnews.com learned that Tesla's pilot scheme for supercharging stations has been extended to 15 European countries, allowing non-Tesla owners to recharge at a certain rate. The company says rates vary from site to site and can be reduced by becoming a member.
