Microsoft launched Work vertical function to display work-related results in Win10 / Win11 search
CTOnews.com, December 20, Windows users who have logged in to their work account can add a "Work" tab to Windows Search to search for work-related information through the latest Work vertical feature. Although Microsoft does not mention educating users in the article, it believes that the same search function applies to school accounts.
At this stage, the Work vertical function is limited to enterprise users who log in using their work accounts. When customers run a search on Windows, they will see a new work tab attached to the search results.
CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft described this feature as "fast and reliable organization-wide search in Windows Search" and "tailored for workplace search". According to the company, it returns Microsoft 365 data and third-party data and "improves the discoverability of related work results".
After searching for a keyword, users can get files, people, messages, answers, groups, and so on from Outlook and Teams chat. Work-related search results can be accessed by selecting the work tab in the Windows search after running the search, or by immediately launching the results in the work tab by using the new "work:" keyword.
