Using Huawei equipment, Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, achieves network coverage.
CTOnews.com December 21 news, learned from Huawei, December 13, Africa's highest peak Kilimanjaro Mount Kilimanjaro (Uhuru Peak) and 3795 meters above sea level rest camp, achieved high-speed network coverage for the first time.
When tourists reach the top in the future, they can share the news in time through the Internet, and they can also call for help through the network signal in time of crisis. Previously, various rest camps below 3795 meters from Mount Kilimanjaro were connected to the high-speed network and Wi-Fi coverage in August this year.
CTOnews.com learned that Huawei said that the high-speed network on Mount Kilimanjaro is part of the national ICT broadband backbone network project, built by Tanzanian operator TTCL, and Huawei Tanzania has donated most of the communications equipment for the Kilimanjaro network facilities.
According to Peter Ulanga, president of TTCL, Huawei works closely with Huawei in the construction of the network linking Africa's highest peak, which provides it with high-quality equipment that can operate efficiently in extreme weather conditions.
