CTOnews.com, December 21, the first major update to Windows 11, 22H2, was officially released on September 20, with a number of enhancements to key features in the operating system, such as folder support for the start menu and allowing users to resize pinned icons.

CTOnews.com learned that Win11 22H2 also enabled support for "drag and drop" on the taskbar, allowing users to easily drag and drop files into the application through the taskbar. Other features include tag support in File Explorer, a new sidebar in File Explorer, actionable suggestions, a new layout of the snapping window, and deep integration of Microsoft accounts in settings.

Windows 11 22H2 also has an interesting hiding feature that allows you to adjust the system volume directly using the mouse wheel. Although it can already be used to adjust the volume if the mouse supports media mode, this new feature of the Windows 11 22H2 allows users to use any mouse wheel to control the volume of the computer.

As shown in the image above, the user can place the mouse pointer over the volume icon on the taskbar and then scroll directly through the mouse wheel to change the volume of the system.

Microsoft is preparing several "Moment" updates for the Windows 11 operating system, "Moment" is an internal code to provide more cumulative updates in addition to the annual update.

Microsoft hopes to introduce new features for Windows 11 every few months, for example, the first Moment update adds tags and sidebars to File Explorer. The next Moment update is expected to introduce more improvements and is scheduled to be released sometime in February or March. The third Moment update may arrive in May 2023, and it is not clear what new features this update will have, but the support for "seconds of taskbar clock" is mentioned in the latest update, and it is possible that future Moment updates will add this feature to Windows 11 22H2. It is believed that Microsoft is also making improvements to the task manager, which may appear in Moment 3 or Moment 4 updates.
