CTOnews.com, December 21, according to the Taiwan media central news agency, TSMC responded to the rumors of "suspension of production expansion at the Nanjing plant" that the 28nm process expansion at the Nanjing plant remained unchanged and went ahead as planned.
According to TSMC's plan, the new 28nm capacity of the Nanjing plant will be gradually opened in the second half of 2022 and reach 40,000 pieces per month in mid-2023 to meet the increase in structural demand.
CTOnews.com learned that the legal person had expected TSMC's annual revenue to challenge US $100 billion as soon as next year (2023), an increase of 28% year-on-year and a record high, becoming the first pure wafer factory in the world to have annual revenue of more than US $100 billion.
According to the financial report, TSMC's November camp collected about NT $222.71 billion, an increase of 5.9% month-on-month and 50.2% over the same period last year. In addition, TSMC expects revenue of about $78 billion (542.88 billion yuan) in 2022, a record high and a year-on-year increase of about 30 per cent.
