Starting from next year, Google Chrome browser will push the new version to a small number of users a week in advance.

CTOnews.com December 22 news, starting in February 2023, Google Chrome browser will slightly change its release cycle, launching a new "early stable version," first to a small number of users, the purpose is to find major bugs before pushing to all users.

Google announced in a blog post today that Google Chrome v110 will be the first version of the browser to shift to a new release schedule. New versions of Chrome are currently released to the Canary channel first, then pushed to the Development, Beta, and Final Stable release channels.

CTOnews.com has learned that Google will expand this release schedule, starting with Chrome 110, with a new "early stable" version that will push the latest version of Chrome to users a week before the general stable release. This pushes the stable version of Chrome 110 to February 7, 2023, instead of February 1 as planned.

Google says a "small percentage" of regular Chrome users will get the update a week in advance.

For the first version of Chrome v110, Google gave the following timeline:

Beta: January 12, 2023

Early Stable: February 1, 2023

Stable: February 7, 2023

Google explained that the reason for this change in its release schedule was to monitor it for important issues before it was pushed to the general public.
