After upgrading Amap to the latest version (version number: 12.2.1), users can see the uphill and downhill sections, as well as the length of each section, in the navigation interface when planning cycling and walking routes.

Users can plan different routes according to their actual situation: if there are more downhill sections, they can choose to ride or walk; if there are more uphill sections, users can also choose other ways of travel, such as taxi, bus and so on.

CTOnews.com learned that Amap's "slope hint" function is based on multi-dimensional sign recognition technology (full name: multi-dimensional feature image integrated recognition algorithm). This technology is Amap's unique AI depth algorithm engine to carry out in-depth understanding and splitting operation through the re-integration of images, historical road conditions and other information, so as to identify different urban road features, road differences, and the same road speed differences. At the same time, the impact of road laying on speed will be filtered to get the detailed location and length of the slope. The development and launch of this function also refers to the real feedback of users in the process of actual use.

This feature has been enabled for some users before, and users of iOS / Android version can be updated to version 12.2.1.
