Samsung Electronics Vietnam Hanoi Research and Development Center completed: specializing in mobile device software core technology

CTOnews.com December 23 news, this morning, Samsung Electronics held the establishment ceremony of the R & D center in Hanoi, Vietnam. This is the first large-scale comprehensive research institute built by a multinational company in Vietnam.

Samsung's new R & D center in Hanoi, Vietnam, started in March 2020, at a cost of US $220 million, covering an area of 11603 square meters, with a total area of 79511 square meters, 3 floors underground and 16 floors above ground. It is expected that more than 2200 researchers will be resident here, specializing in smart devices, network technology, software-related research and development, will employ up to 3000 employees, and will become Samsung's largest R & D center in Southeast Asia when completed.

According to reports, Samsung plans to strengthen the professionalism of the Vietnam R & D center, specializing in the core technology of mobile device software-multimedia information processing and wireless communication security systems.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung currently has 17 R & D centers around the world, including Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and the United States.
