CTOnews.com, December 23, Microsoft Azure Neural Network text-to-speech Service (Neural TTS), as a powerful speech synthesis feature under Azure cognitive service, developers can use AI to convert text into realistic speech. Since its inception, Azure Neural TTS has been used in a variety of scenarios, including e-books, voice assistants, video and audio production, interface reading and so on.

Unsplash now supports a total of 147languages / dialects through the new language extension of Microsoft Azure Neural Network version of the text-to-speech service. In addition, 46 new platform prefabricated sounds have been released, as well as more emotional support. So far, the Azure neural network text-to-voice service sound family provides a total of 449 voices for customers to choose from.

CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft Azure neural network text-to-voice service is now adding two languages: Basque and Armenian. The public preview version introduces two new Chinese dialects: Wu dialect and Cantonese.

The Azure speech synthesis service provides at least one female voice and one male voice for each language. However, in practical use, many scenes need to use multiple sounds to achieve diversity or multi-role natural dialogue. Now, Microsoft has brought a public preview of 46 new voices, including English (Australia), Spanish (Spain), Korean (Korean) and Japanese (Japan). These new sounds cover different roles and ages and can bring more choices to different business scenarios. These sounds are currently available in three Azure data centers: the eastern United States, Western Europe and Southeast Asia.

More and more scenes need to express different styles and emotions according to different content. Microsoft is also constantly giving more language and voice to a variety of different emotional styles, including supporting easier chat or expressing cheerful emotions.

In May 2022, Microsoft Azure released 5 new sounds and 10 voice styles in the English (US) preview, and previewed several new sounds in Spanish (Mexico), Italian and Portuguese (Brazil) in June 2022. Microsoft will further provide these sounds and styles in a wider range of service areas.
