The section from Changde to Yiyang of Yu-Xia high-speed railway will be opened tomorrow: it can be reached in 59 minutes from Changde to Changsha at the earliest.

CTOnews.com, December 25, according to the official account of China Railway, the Changde-Yiyang section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway will be put into operation on December 26. The high-speed railway from Changde to Changsha will be completed in 59 minutes at the earliest.

The section of Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway from Changde to Changsha is 154 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The 63-km section from Yiyang to Changsha was opened in September 2022, while the 91-km section from Changde to Yiyang started construction in June 2019.

CTOnews.com learned that the Changde-Yiyang section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway is an important part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network, with a total of three stations in Changde, Hanshou and Yiyang South, of which Changde and Yiyang South are existing stations and Hanshou is a new station.

At the initial stage of the opening and operation of the project, the railway department will arrange for 29.5 pairs of mobile EMU trains, and the first EMU trains from Zhangjiajie, Changde to Changsha in Hunan, which can reach Changsha in 1 hour, 52 minutes and 59 minutes respectively.
