Nanyu high-speed railway is an important part of Nan-Shen high-speed railway. The main line is 193.31 kilometers long and has a designed speed of 350km per hour. The line is drawn from Nanning East Railway Station, passing through Liujing and Hengzhou stations, and finally to Yulin North Railway Station.

CTOnews.com learned that after the Nanyu high-speed railway is completed and opened to traffic, the running time of the railway from Nanning to Yulin will be shortened from 2 hours to about 50 minutes.

The railway department said that so far, 100% of the earthwork of the roadbed of the Nanyu railway project has been completed; the bridge project has been completed by 95%; and the tunnel project has been completed by 100%. The two major tunnels (Liangmu Tunnel and Pingyue Tunnel) of the five major control projects along the line have been completed, the Baihe Yujiang Bridge has been closed, and the remaining two cross-river bridges are under steady construction. the station building, the "four electricity" behind the station and the ballastless track are under comprehensive construction, and track laying is expected to start in May 2023.
