CTOnews.com news on December 26, after the end of the two-week window merge period, Linus Torvalds released the first candidate version update of Linux 6.2 today. The window merger coincides with Christmas and is slightly larger than Linux 6.1 in terms of the number of proposals collected so far. The next step is to enter the testing and bug fixing phase of Linux 6.2.

CTOnews.com learned that Linus Torvalds wrote in the Linux 6.2-rc1 announcement:

6.2 it seems that the update scale is relatively large (obviously larger than Linux 6.1). The following summary, as usual, is just my merge log:

During this merger window, we received a total of more than 13500 proposals from nearly 1800 people, which is actually close to the total size of version 6.1. Although the scale of the update is relatively large, I hope all goes well with the follow-up development.
