More information about the device emerged after rumors that Samsung had launched a cheap folding phone. The Samsung Z Fold S smartphone is expected to have 360-degree hinges, similar to those used in Microsoft's Surface Duo.

The hinge will enable the device to fold inward and outward. Due to the use of tent mode, this will reduce media consumption on the device. It is expected to use a single flexible OLED screen instead of two separate screens on the Duo, each 5.6in (aspect ratio: 4: 3). They are AMOLED screens with a resolution of 1800x1350 inches (a total of 8.1 inches) with an aspect ratio of 3: 2 and a resolution of 2700x1800.

The other side of the device will be made of glass, although it is unclear whether it will sell separate monitors, such as the original Galaxy Fold and the recently released Galazy Z Fold 2, which have a 6.2inch display on the outside and a 7.6inch collapsible display when the device is turned on.

Samsung z fold s is expected to be released sometime in 2021.
