It has the characteristics of no backlight, high contrast, thin thickness, wide viewing angle, fast response speed, flexible panel, wide temperature range, simple structure and manufacturing process, etc.

Prior to this, as the production capacity and yield of Chinese OLED manufacturers can not keep up with the market demand, South Korea's small and medium-sized OLED has been monopolizing the market. But in recent years, as China's small and medium-sized OLED good rate climbing and production capacity continues to release, Chinese OLED manufacturers continue to squeeze South Korea's OLED market share.

Among them, Vicino and BOE are small and medium-sized OLED panel manufacturers in China. In the second quarter of this year, the two companies held 13 per cent and 7 per cent market share respectively, ranking second and third in the world, according to CINNO.

Chinese OLED panel makers accounted for less than 20 per cent of global capacity in 2019, but increased to about 30 per cent in 2020 and nearly 40 per cent in 2021, according to market research firm DSCC. This proportion will rise to about 40 per cent in 2022, but will slow later. In 2027, this proportion will reach about 45%.
