Huawei: Euler operating system installed 3 million sets, increasing market share by 25%

CTOnews.com, December 28, according to Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, Wang Tao, managing director of Huawei and director of the ICT Infrastructure Business Management Committee, said that by the end of December 2022, there were more than 600 members of the open source Euler community, with a cumulative commercial deployment of 3 million sets. In the new market of server operating systems in China, Euler accounted for 25 per cent of the new market.

On the morning of November 9, 2021, Huawei announced that it would donate Euler system and donate all the code to the Open Atomic Open Source Foundation. This marks the evolution of Euler from founding enterprise-led open source projects to industrial co-construction and community autonomy.

Wang Tao said that Huawei will continue to focus on root technology input, comprehensively lay out the operating system, database, AI framework, programming language, compiler and other basic software.
