CTOnews.com, December 28 (Xinhua) according to the latest data from Omdia's Market tracking report on large-size display panels (Large Area Display Market Tracker 3Q22) in the third quarter of 2022, shipments of large-size display panels fell 8% year-on-year in 2022, while shipping area fell 3% year-on-year.

Chinese mainland is expected to account for 55.2% of total shipments of large-size display panels in 2022, followed by 24.9% in Taiwan and 14.7% in South Korea, according to Omdia. Chinese mainland is also expected to occupy the first place in the total shipping area of large-size display panels with a share of 61.3 per cent, followed by Taiwan with 17.1 per cent and South Korea with 15.4 per cent.

CTOnews.com learned that Omdia expects BOE to account for the largest share of shipments and shipping area of large-size display panels in 2022, with 33.1% and 26.1% respectively, followed by Qunchuang Optoelectronics with 13.3% and Huaxing Optoelectronics with 17.4%.
