The longest wind turbine blade in the world is offline in Jiangsu, and the diameter of the impeller is 260 meters.

CTOnews.com news on December 28, according to China Shipbuilding Group, on December 24, China Shipbuilding 725 Shuangruifeng Power Co., Ltd. welcomed the world's longest SR260 blade at the base in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, with an impeller diameter of 260m and a sweeping area of more than 53,000 square meters, which is equivalent to 7.4standard football fields.

In terms of power generation capacity, based on the strong wind capture capacity of SR260 blades, the wind turbine will generate 67 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year, equivalent to the total annual electricity consumption of 80,000 residents, and can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 65000 tons.

CTOnews.com learned that in the process of blade development, the project team realized the Aeroelastic stability design and structural lightweight design of ultra-long and flexible blades, breaking through many technological barriers such as integral forming of carbon fiber pultruded plates and perfusion of ultra-long blade shells.

The blade will be carried in the 18MW offshore unit with the largest single power in the world, which is about to be taken off the line by China Sea outfit.
