Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

Recall a total of 105608 domestic hybrid CR-V, hybrid INSPIRE and hybrid ELYSION series cars produced during the period from October 8, 2018 to September 7, 2020.

Guangzhou Auto Honda Automobile Co., Ltd.

Recall a total of 95081 domestic hybrid Acura CDX, hybrid Odyssey and hybrid Accord cars produced during the period from August 27, 2018 to August 6, 2020.

CTOnews.com learned that some vehicles within the scope of this recall may have a small amount of lubricating oil attached to the internal pressure sensor of the brake pedal simulator due to manufacturing reasons, and the attached lubricating oil will cause sensor signal offset after long-term use. When the signal offset reaches the alarm threshold, the fault light of the braking system will be lit, and the vehicle starts the braking backup mode, resulting in an increase in the pedal force required for braking, and there is a safety hidden danger.

Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Auto Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. will test the vehicles within the recall range, and replace the brake pedal simulator for vehicles with pressure sensor signal offset risk free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.
