"Xfce 4.18 introduced a number of new features, including the introduction of dual panels in thunar, upgrades to Xfce applets, panels and terminals, and the addition of an option to use the old Xfwm window theme instead of gtk3-client-side-decorations in several Xfce applications," the MX Linux team said.

CTOnews.com learned that for users who want to try something new, the MX Linux team does not recommend upgrading on the main device. Users can open / etc / apt / sources.list.d with system privileges and add deb http://mxrepo.com/ mx / repo/ temp main to this file. Close the file and run sudo apt update and sudo apt dist-upgrade. After running the above command, you can upgrade the Xfce desktop to the latest version.

Since MX Linux uses Xfce by default and the update of version 4.18 is important, the MX Linux team also decided to release a new ISO image when the update is released in January.
