In fact, not only iPhone, but Apple will also increase the out-of-warranty battery replacement price for the Mac and iPad. According to Apple's website, from March 1, 2023, the cost of battery service for all MacBook Air models will increase by 290 yuan, while that for all Macbook and MacBook Pro models will increase by 480 yuan. The cost of covered battery service for the following iPad models will be increased by RMB149: 12.9-inch iPad Pro (Generation 5 and earlier), 11-inch iPad Pro (Generation 3 and earlier), 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad mini (Generation 6 and earlier) and iPad Air (Generation 5 and earlier).

CTOnews.com learned that at present, the cost of battery replacement for iPhone is mostly 748 yuan.

The price increase will only affect users who do not buy AppleCare or AppleCare + for their devices. With AppleCare+, once the battery health drops below 80%, users can replace the battery for free.
