Microsoft opens the "Automate" tab to desktop Excel
CTOnews.com January 4 news, Microsoft recently introduced the desktop Excel function bar "Automate" tab, convenient for users to use Power Automate to manage and arrange Office scripts. Previously, the Automation tab was only available on Excel on the web, but Microsoft is now open to Windows and Mac devices.
On the Automation tab, users can also connect to Teams and SharePoint, enabling users to be more productive and focus on features rather than configurations.
CTOnews.com understands that the Automation tab, which has been in preview since October 2022, is now fully open to eligible customers. This primarily includes Microsoft 365 paid users (E3, E5), as well as users who have installed a Microsoft Edge WebView2 license if they are using a Windows computer.
