Win11 22H2 user feedback new BUG: file manager will pop up at random

CTOnews.com message on January 4, according to feedback from multiple users on Feedback Hub, BUG exists in the file manager of the Win11 22H2 system. When users are using other applications, the system will open the file manager automatically at random.

One user wrote in a community feedback post: "one or more file manager windows run in the background and then open applications such as Firefox or Edge browsers. After a few minutes, the file manager window will pop up and be in focus."

Another user wrote in the post: "when I use other applications (such as web browsing), the file manager window randomly jumps to the front. This time I am having a meeting on Zoom, and the file manager automatically opens."

CTOnews.com learned from Windows Lastest that Microsoft acknowledged the reports and said it was a known problem, but Microsoft did not acknowledge it in public. Sources say Microsoft is fixing a focus error in File Explorer, but it is not clear when the fix will arrive.
