KDE Plasma 5.26th maintenance update release: fix many BUG, such as Wayland

CTOnews.com January 4 news, the KDE team released the KDE Plasma version 5.26.5 update today. This is the fifth maintenance release update of KDE Plasma 5.26, 5 weeks after the previous version update. This update fixes a large number of BUG and optimizes existing features.

CTOnews.com learned that the KDE Plasma 5.26.5 update mainly fixed many BUG in Plasma Wayland sessions, including the KWin crash when the laptop was connected to the docking station, the failure of the external monitor to work when using some ARM-driven devices, and the inability to select text in the GTK application when mid-click paste was disabled.

KDE Plasma no longer displays critical notifications in Overview, Present Windows, and Desktop Grid effects in this update. In addition, this update also improves the language list scrolling on the regional and language pages in the system settings.

This update also improves the Blend Changes effect, which now ignores the foreground full-screen window. This makes the full-screen video playback experience smoother, for example, when using the accent Color from wallpaper setting and slide wallpaper.

In the Plasma workspace, the panel received a floating margin to avoid content overflow when floating. In addition, Plasma NetworkManager (plasma-nm) Mini Program can now connect to the WPA3- personal network.
