CTOnews.com, January 5, Scosche today launched the second generation of BaseLynx Modular Charging System, which can charge Apple devices such as iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. Compared with the previous generation, the second generation BaseLynx is more compact in size and fastened together with magnetic connectors.

CTOnews.com learned that available modules for the system include a two-in-one charger for iPhone and AirPods with MagSafe, a magnetic charger for Apple Watch, a vertical multi-device charging station that can be used with smartphones or tablets, and a rechargeable Powered End Cap with USB-C ports and 120V power outlets.

Multiple modules can be connected together and powered by a single power cord, so Apple users can build the settings that best suit their needs. Scosche plans to sell kits that combine multiple modules as well as individual modules, with prices ranging from $50 to $100 each.

Scosche also launched a range of 7.5W magnetic chargers and brackets, the most interesting of which is the MagicMount MS Hydro, a 24-ounce (about 679.2 g) water bottle with built-in MagSafe brackets that can support iPhone 12 or higher. The bracket lid is designed for popular water bottle brands and includes a handle.
