CTOnews.com, January 5, Samsung unveiled the The Premiere 8K UST (Ultra short focus) projector at CES 2023. The new projector is a more advanced version of Samsung's The Premier 4K UST projector launched in 2020. Unlike traditional projectors, ultra-short focus projectors can display large images from very close to the wall.

Samsung's new The Premiere supports 8K resolution, which Samsung says is the first 8K projector that can display images up to 150in diagonal width. The projector has built-in Dolby panoramic sound (Dolby Atmos) speakers. CTOnews.com learned that Samsung has equipped its smart TV with the same Tizen OS operating system, which means it has all the smart functions, such as AirPlay, Alexa, Bixby, Google Assistant, Q-Symphony, SmartThings, Samsung Health, Gaming Hub Game Center, Tap View and so on.

Samsung has not yet released information on the price and launch of the new The Premiere projector. Audio and video products released by Samsung during CES 2023 are expected to be available in the spring or summer. The Premier 8K projector is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2023.

The Samsung The Premiere 4K projector sells for $6499 (about 44778 yuan). Considering that the Premiere 8K is more advanced, the price will be higher. Other 8K projectors on the market start at about $11000 (about 75790 yuan).
