CTOnews.com, January 5 (Xinhua)-- Apple's official Apple TV+ channel today shared a trailer for the second season of Foundation. Apple has yet to announce an exact launch date for the season, saying it will launch in the summer of 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that the show's Foundation, based on Isaac Isaac Asimov's award-winning novel, tells the story of a group of exiles on a journey to save and rebuild humanity, civilization during the decline of the Galactic Empire.

It stars American Actors Guild winner and Emmy nominee Jared Harris as Dr. Dr. Hari Seldon, Emmy nominee Lee Pace as Brother Day, Lou Llobell as Gaal Dornick, Leah Harvey as Salvo Salvor Hardin and Laura Birn as Demerzel. Terrence Mann (Terrence Man) plays Brother Dusk, Cassian Bilton (Cassian Bilton) plays Brother Dawn, and Alfred Alfred Enoch plays Raych.

Skydance Television is producing the show for Apple, with Robyn Asimov, Josh Friedman, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross as executive producers. David S. Goyer leads the project as the show's host and executive producer.
