Notebooks enter the era of large memory: the AMD Ruilong 7040 series supports up to 256GB
CTOnews.com, January 5, AMD today released the Sharon 7040HS series of notebook processors, which uses 4nm technology, uses 8-core Zen4 CPU and RDNA3 kernel display, and is equipped with the latest Ruilong AI engine.
CTOnews.com found in the details page of AMD that the memory support capacity of AMD Auron 7040HS series processors reached 256GB, while the previous generation of Ruilong 6000HS series only supported 64GB.
R7 7840HS memory support capacity
R7 6800H memory support capacity in terms of memory frequency, the latest 7040HS series supports DDR5-5600 and LPDDR5x-7500, which is higher than the previous model.
AMD Ruilong 7040 HS series model parameters are as follows:
R9 7940HS:8 core 16 threads, up to 5.2GHz TDP 35-45W
R7 7840HS:8 core 16 threads, up to 5.1GHz TDP 35-45W
R5 7640HS:6 core 12 threads, up to 5.0GHz TDP 35-45W
