The ARJ21 aircraft passenger cargo conversion design change project has been officially approved by the bureau, and a substantial breakthrough has been made in the development of commercial jet freighters in China.

Comac plans to make the ARJ21 the main model in the regional air cargo market. At present, ARJ21 has two contracted customers, such as Zhongyuan long Hao and Yuan Tonghang, and the first batch of two aircraft will be delivered respectively.

ARJ21 customer conversion is another important derivative model launched by the ARJ21 project after the business plane. CTOnews.com learned that the aircraft was established in May 2020 and completed all compliance verification tests and flight tests and airworthiness compliance report approval by the end of December 2022 after a series of key research processes such as preliminary design, detailed design, modification and implementation.

According to reports, ARJ21 passenger conversion is equipped with the main cargo door all-electric actuation system, advanced warning system, high-reliability freight system, with pressure relief fire suppression, air-conditioning package independent control, good drainage functions, a maximum of 10 tons.

At the same time, it has the advantages of safe, reliable, flexible and convenient, high volume utilization rate and good versatility of the container, which can meet the loading of different standard sizes of container such as PMC, PAG, AKE and so on.
