CTOnews.com January 6 news, NetEase Games now announced the acquisition of Canadian studio SkyBox Labs, the transaction amount has not been announced.

CTOnews.com learned that SkyBox, founded in 2011 and headquartered in Bennaby, Canada and Victoria, Great Britain, has already launched two original games: TASTEE:Lethal Tactics in 2016 and Stela in 2019.

In addition, it has worked with publishers such as Xbox Game Studios and Electronic Arts to develop more high-profile games, the most famous of which are Halo: infinity, my World and radiation 76, as well as Microsoft's Imperial Age series, my World series and multiple entries in Project Spark.

According to the announcement, SkyBox will continue to operate independently under NetEase Games under the leadership of its three co-founders, Shyang Kong, Derek Mac Neil and Steven Silvester. It will continue to work closely with existing partners to develop PC and console games, and will try new games in the future.
