CTOnews.com January 7 news, Apple TV+ today released the truth be told (Truth Be Told) season 3 trailer. Starring Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer, the series has a 10-episode third season that airs Jan. 20. Spencer plays investigative journalist again, with real crime podcast Poppy Scoville taking on a new case.

She won the 69th Golden Globe Award and the 84th Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the 2011 film The Help. She was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for "Hidden People" and "The Shape of Water."

The third season, directed by author, host and executive producer Nichelle Tramble Spellman, will see Octavia Lenora Spencer reprise her role as Poppy Parnell, taking on new cases.

Apple says that in Season 3, Poppy, frustrated by the lack of media attention given to several young missing black girls, teamed up with an unorthodox principal (Union) to keep the victims 'names in the public eye while pursuing clues to suspicious sex trafficking rings that may have entrapped them. In addition to Union, returning cast members include series regulars Mekhi Phifer, David Lyons, Ron Cephas Jones, Merle Dandridge, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood, Mychala Faith Lee and Tami Roman.
