Snap announced the news on the Snap Camera app support page and said it would no longer be available for download or use later this month. It is written in the support documentation:

To uninstall Snap Camera from your computer, please check the uninstall instructions for Mac and PC here. To change your camera source from Snap Camera to your default camera, enter the video settings and change the camera source from "Snap Camera" to your default camera.

CTOnews.com mini-class: launched by Snap Camera in 2018, it aims to add luster to Twitch streaming. It became more popular during the pandemic, when many people suddenly found themselves on video calls all day.

However, in 2022, Snap laid off 20 per cent of its staff and cancelled projects such as Pixy drones, and now it is also ending Snap Camera.
