It's just that the AI lawyer has no entity and will not argue in court, but runs on the mobile phone to help the defendant deal with all kinds of questions.

CTOnews.com learned that the AI lawyer, trained and developed by DoNotPay, plans to defend the defendant in a speeding case that will be heard in February 2023. The identity of the defendant has not been disclosed, and it is not clear whether it will be open to the media at that time.

Since this is the first case of AI, if AI's advice does not help the customer, DoNotPay will bear the speeding fine. But if it wins, it will win a huge victory. The bigger question is, is lawyer AI legal in court?

Joshua Browder, the company's chief executive, told New Scientist that it had found a court where listening through headphones is in line with the rules, but may not be in line with the spirit of the U.S. Court.
